Precautions: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Do not place lit candles near textiles, books, curtains or anything flammable. Candle holders should be placed on a stable, heat-resistant surface and large enough to catch any melted wax. Keep lit candles away from drafts and away from children and pets. Extinguish all candles when you leave a room or before going to sleep. A candle should not burn for more than 3 hours at a time. Keep the cut wick 1 cm above the wax for optimal burning. For a safety margin, stop burning a candle when there is 1/4 inch of wax left in the container. And remember not to touch the piece when it is on and wait 5 minutes to touch it after it is off.
